This section is the best education you will get on how to play live or online blackjack. Rules are similar for every casino room with main difference being the table limit. All live dealers try to give you as much "hand" as they possibly canduring the TV show but now you can get all the basics before you play! Playing Live and Online Blackjack is pretty simple – once you have chosen your hand and bet the desired amount on, the dealer hands the cards. You will receive two cards face up and the dealer will receive one card face up. |
HOW TO MANAGE THE HANDS
At multi-hand blackjack you can bet on one or many different hands. At Live Blackjack SKY 867 you can bet on up to three hands. Same at Smart Live Blackjack game.
Provided your hands value is less than 17 you can carry on with the game. You stop at 17 and cannot hit anymore as the chances of winning are too small.
Hit, stand or double?
Hit
Clicking on hit means you are requesting another card on top of your hand. There's no limit to your requests, but when your total hand card count reaches a hard 19, you will not be permitted to draw any further cards. Also if your first two cards reach 17. If your hand total exceeds 21, you go "bust" and lose the game.
Stand
If you thinl your hand's total is enough this is what you click on. It means that no more cards be dealt on that particular hand. You can still click "hit" on the other hands you had bet on.
Split
When two cards of the same denomination are dealt you are given a chance to "split". Whether the cards are split is based on a defined strategy table. Please see the how to win section for extra tips and to view this table.
When the split occurs players have the choice to double their bet and place a bet on both hands. They can also leave their bets as they were and just bet on the hand which came from the first split card.
If you decide to go for a "split" you will have two individual hands to play. You can then "hit" cards on both or either of them as long as you're satisfied with a total. Attention! When splitting aces the player will only be dealt one more card. If you get a 21 hand formed after a hand is split you will be paid at 1-to-1.
Double
The double only occurs when the hard or soft card count equals 9, 10 or 11 on the first two cards of the hand. There are three steps that follow the "double" - if you decide to go for it, your original bet will be doubled but you will receive only one more card before your turn ends. This way your winnings can double but that one card must be enough to beat the dealer's hand!
Insurance
If the situation when dealer’s first card is an Ace occurs, a player will be given the option of taking insurance. To chouse the option you need to click "yes to insurance" button. This will apply to all the players’ hands. What happens if you decide to go for the insurance? A player will place a side bet of half their original wager and the dealer hits the blackjack (21) the player is paid 2-to-1 on the insurance bet. The dealer's Blackjack can be only formed of two cards so he'd need to be dealt with 10 after the ace.
